A single oval natural sapphire in deep Royal Blue, held by four slim claws in polished 18K white gold, rests at the centre of a peacock's fan. Feathers of pavé diamonds sweep around it, each with a pear-shaped diamond at its eye, while small round sapphires and claw-set diamonds catch the light at the tips.
1.35 carats, with a CGRL report. Wear it as a ring, or take the head from the band and add a Chopin chain with a spring ring or lobster clasp to wear it as a pendant — a lasting September birthstone gift.

Sapphire is very hard, but a sharp knock can still chip it, and the many small stones in the feathers deserve care. Clean with warm soapy water and a soft brush, avoid ultrasonic cleaners and harsh chemicals, store it on its own in a soft pouch and have the claws checked yearly.
