Ruban — French for ribbon — wraps a single oval lab-grown diamond in one sweep of polished 18K yellow gold. The two ends of the band glide past the stone in opposite directions, like a ribbon drawn around a gift, while four slim, tapered claws hold the oval tall and north–south so it lengthens the finger and gathers light from every side.

A quietly bold solitaire for a proposal or a lasting promise, with an easy, old-money polish. Available in 18K yellow gold with an oval centre diamond of 1, 2 or 3 carats, D–E colour and VS clarity, each with its own IGI report.

Care

A lab-grown diamond is as hard as a mined one, but this tall oval sits high in four slim claws whose pointed tips are the first thing to catch on knitwear or knock against hard surfaces. Clean with warm soapy water and a soft brush, working gently under the stone where lotion and soap collect, then rinse and dry thoroughly. Take it off for sport, swimming or heavy work, store it on its own in a soft pouch, and have the claws checked once a year — larger 2 and 3 carat stones benefit from a check every six months.
