Auréole — French for halo — frames a single oval lab-grown diamond in a crown of round brilliants, lifted on four slim claws so the centre stone looks larger and brighter than its carat weight. A row of pavé diamonds runs down each shoulder of the 18K white gold band, and small diamonds continue under the halo, adding a hidden flash of light seen from the side.

A 1 carat oval lab-grown diamond sits on four slim prongs inside a halo of round brilliants. Small diamonds line the gallery beneath the halo and run down both shoulders of the 18K white gold band, so the ring sparkles from the top and from the side.

Care

The halo and pavé are made of many small diamonds, each held by fine claws, so lotion and soap collect quickly and dull the sparkle. Soak the ring in warm soapy water, brush gently under the halo with a soft brush, then rinse and dry. Take it off for sport, the gym and heavy work, store it apart from other jewellery so the claws do not catch, and have the prongs checked once a year. White gold can be re-plated with rhodium whenever you want its bright white finish back.
